Report on Tagesschau.de
Qurie GmbH was recently featured in an report on tagesschau.de as an innovative company working on the next generation of cooling and heat pump systems.
The core of our approach is the replacement of conventional compressors with electrocaloric technologies, reducing the need for refrigerants that are either environmentally harmful or flammable. Our technology combines electrocaloric materials with heat pipes to transport heat efficiently and enable cooling and heating processes without mechanical compressors. In the long term, we aim to create quieter, more energy-efficient, and more sustainable alternatives for applications in industry, building technology, and beyond.
Currently, we are focusing on initial applications in electrical cabinet cooling and industrial cooling systems. The development of high-performance prototypes is the next key step on our path toward commercialization.
We are delighted by the media coverage and the growing interest in electrocaloric technologies. It highlights the importance of new approaches for achieving a more sustainable future in heating and cooling.
